Happy belated Canada Day! We trust you had the chance to enjoy some fireworks and relax on your day off. At 142 years old, Canada begins its new year in trying economic times. It seems, though, that there is hope for the future, that things just might be turning around—at least that’s what Finance Minister Jim Flaherty keeps telling us. And that’s what CBJ is about this month (the future, not Flaherty).
This issue brings stories about what’s coming. We talk to experts about where the North American auto industry is heading; what the next generation of professionals will bring to the workplace; and what Canadians can expect from medical technology and research. Granted, by its very nature, the future is uncertain, but our outlook at CBJ is hopeful. We think the idea of possibility is exciting.
Speaking of exciting, we just launched our new blog this month (www.cbj.ca/blog/). We will be updating it weekly with our thoughts on Canadian business news and events, so make sure you to stop by and leave a comment.
Enjoy the read!
