Blockchain Expo attracted more than 3000 people across key industries for two days of world-class content from leading brands embracing and developing cutting edge Blockchain technologies. https://blockchain-expo.com/northamerica/
Wil Ralston, President of SinglePoint, Inc. (OTC PINK: SING), who attended the Blockchain Expo event said, “The Blockchain Expo provided a lot of insight to what possibilities can be achieved through the use of Blockchain. Getting a first look at what major companies such as IBM and Oracle are doing is very exciting and sparks a lot of innovation in the industry.”
He went on to say, “There are many opportunities to develop Blockchain based solutions. SinglePoint (OTC PINK: SING) is uniquely positioned to develop and offer these solutions to many of our clients. We are in a period of rapid development in order to make sure we are able to capitalize on what’s in front of us.”
SinglePoint is currently working intimately with Smart Cannabis Corp. to effectively implement Blockchain technology into their “Track and Trace Software System.”
Jason Kelley, General Manager of Blockchain Services at IBM in his keynote: ‘Blockchain Trailblazers — Unlocking New Markets with Blockchain’ talked about how IBM is working with hundreds of organizations across financial services, supply chains, IoT, risk management, digital rights management and healthcare to implement blockchain applications.
He noted, “We have a market leading position.” Jason told the audience, “What we are seeing in the market is that blockchain is not something you can sell; all you can do is demonstrate the value of the outcome of the capability. Then it sells itself.”
He also shared, “This hype everyone is talking about; asking is this just another hyped effort? Is this a bubble waiting to burst? We see something different. We see a lot of Blockchain trailblazers. This is what has lacked in the past. We see the speed of this technology is bringing capability faster than ever.”
“TCP/IP took 30 years; three decades. This is less than 10 years old and we are seeing real outcomes.”
“Where is it going?” he asked. “Look at this technology as a platform to begin to realize a digital transformation. It starts somewhere where there is a catalyst with nothing but trusted data that’s highly visible in a permission network. And then you get the players coming together.”
He also talked about how IBM Blockchain technology has improved efficiencies in Walmart’s Food Safety Solution. Walmart can track food products through its supply chain using the IBM Blockchain Platform. In a video presentation, Frank Yiannas, Walmart’s Vice President of Food Safety said, “When a customer shops in our store there is an unspoken expectation of safety. What we hope to do with Blockchain is bring all food safety system stakeholders and collaborate so we can do it one best way and very quickly and efficiently.”
