Airbus Nets $30B Deals at Airshow
CBJ — Attending the Dubai Airshow has proven to be a lucrative one for Airbus, which has announced it has landed several deals to deliver new aircraft to Emirates Airlines and a couple of other carriers that could be worth well above $30 billion in total.
The largest deal came from Dubai-based Emirates, which announced it would be buying 20 additional wide-body Airbus A350s. That deal alone is worth more than $16 billion.
Meanwhile budget carrier Emirati will be acquiring 120 new Airbus planes in a deal worth $14 billion.
