Dundas Valley Collision Centre

Bodyshop of the Year

Serving the Dundas-Hamilton region since 1979, Dundas Valley Collision Centre offers the best in collision repair, glass replacement, and vehicle service.

Founded by Alex Szabo, Dundas Valley Collision Centre is staffed by a team of 10 workers, a reflection of how the company has grown in its 30-plus years in business. The company has operated through three economic recessions that were particularly tough on the automotive sector – most recently in 2008. The recession was challenging a time for the company, as it was to the automotive industry as a whole, yet Dundas Valley Collision Centre has only continued to grow while still offering safe and quality service. As a result, Dundas Valley Collision Centre is pleased to report that its sales have grown by as much as 10 per cent in recent years.

Operating in an 11,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, Dundas Valley Collision Centre is the preferred collision repair specialist of most automotive insurers.

Continuously striving for the best in customer satisfaction, Dundas Valley Collision Centre takes these same efforts to its local community, as an active sponsor of the Chamber of Commerce Youth Volunteer of the Year Award. The business itself has been recognized too, recently awarded the Premier’s Pollution Prevention Award as well as Bodyshop of the Year in Canada by Bodyshop Magazine.

Additionally, Readers’ Choice voted Dundas Valley Collision Centre as the No. 1 independent collision repair centre in Hamilton. Dundas Valley Collision Centre has also been recognized by CertifiedFirst, a performance driven network of quality rated auto body repair centres. CertifiedFirst annual inspects members to ensure program standards, compliance, and requirements are met.

Dundas Valley Collision Centre offers extensive services. Szabo told The Canadian Business Journal, “Our goal is to serve our customers to make the stress of accidents as easy as we can, from managing a claim to making sure the vehicle gets repaired properly and safely, restoring it to the pre-accident condition.

Our focus on customer service doesn’t fluctuate; we have a high standard that we stick to.”

It is this commitment to customer service that separates Dundas Valley Collision Centre from the competition in an otherwise extensive industry. Szabo added, “We will do anything to serve the customers’ needs. We make the process as convenient as possible.” Dundas Valley Collision Centre even offers rental vehicle pickup and return to those customers needing alternative transportation while their vehicle is serviced.

“We are committed to excellence in the accident repair process and we continuously implement new technology as it becomes available,” the Dundas Valley Collision Centre website reads. “We were one of the first Hamilton collision repair shops in the greater area to convert to waterborne auto paint and did so two years before the regulations came into effect. Our clean, environmentally safe paint preparation stations and paint booth utilize new environmental technology. In addition, we offer our customers the Lifetime PPG Paint Performance Guarantee – good as long as you own the vehicle.”

Collision Solutions Network

Dundas Valley Collision Centre also works alongside the Collision Solutions Network, a national network partnership of collision repair facilities that strives to offer superior repair service.

The company website reads, “Collision Solutions Network members have been hand-picked as a result of their individual and superior quality standards. It is the promise you receive from your Collision Solutions Network member that gives you the peace of mind required to have your vehicle repaired hassle free and to travel with ease. The Collision Solutions Network is a promise to deliver a quality repair that is built on confidence, trust, and integrity; a promise that the business was built on.”

Moving forward, Szabo’s goal is to continue growing Dundas Valley Collision Centre, with hopes to increase the company’s sales by 50 per cent and add about five staff in the coming years. Dundas Valley Collision Centre hopes to achieve this growth with a focus on increased marketing and publicity strategies.

Szabo concluded, “We are a collision repair facility that looks after customers’ collision needs, making that service as easy and as friendly as possible. We are compassionate to our community and to people in need.”
