Ford NA President Ousted
CBJ — Ford’s President for North America has been let go due to an internal investigation that revealed behaviour that was deemed to be inconsistent with the company’s code of conduct.The automaker did not provide details on what specific indiscretions were involved.
Raj Nair has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately. He apologized within the statement issued by the company, without elaborating on specifics.
“I sincerely regret that there have been instances where I have not exhibited leadership behaviours consistent with the principles that the Company and I have always espoused,” Nair said in Ford’s statement.
Nair was appointed to his current position last May when Hackett became CEO. Nair previously served as Ford’s chief technical officer.
He joined Ford in 1987 and rose through the automaker’s manufacturing and engineering ranks to become head of global product development in 2015.
