GM & Honda Teaming Up
CBJ — General Motors and Honda are teaming up on self-driving vehicle technology as the race continues to transform the next generation of personal transportation.
Honda has committed to a $3.5 billion investment in the project, which will be headlined by General Motors. The vehicle will be called the GM Cruise. The two automakers are already partnering on fuel cell vehicles.
Honda will make an immediate investment of $962 million, and contribute $2.65 billion over the following 12 years.
