October 10 Editorial

As I stood before attendees at the recent Clean 15 Breakfast Session, talking about Canadian business partnerships in the clean tech industry, I began to realize how critical business partnerships are.

Business success in Canada must be viewed as a product of the innovation of the people that build companies and the partnerships they share.

In the spirit of partnerships, this month we are proud to present an interview with Arlene Dickinson, Robert Herjavec and Kevin O’Leary of Dragons’ Den fame—who along with the other Dragons have partnered with Canadian entrepreneurs to the tune of $20 million for the 5th season of the CBC show.

Imagine—five Canadian business people willing to invest that much capital into Canada’s future business successes. What a testament to the very concept of partnership!

This month is also about reflecting on CBJ’s own partnerships, as we lead up to our November issue, our second anniversary edition.

Working with Clean 15 over the last year is just one example of the many partnerships we’ve endeavoured to create, and we’ll talk more about that next month as we reflect on CBJ’s success.

Finally, we want to draw your attention to the many great partnership stories of the companies we’ve profiled this month, the movers and shakers of Canadian industry.

To find out more about media partnerships with CBJ, contact me directly. Your businesses are the backbone of the Canadian economy, and we are happy to talk about working together.

In the meantime, take a look at this month’s issue, and visit www.clean15.com to find out about the Clean 15 One-on-One Meeting in November.
