OneUp Sports Hires McCauley for VP Content & Strategy

OneUp Sports has hired John McCauley, as Vice President, Content and Strategy, a new role for the company. McCauley will run the content and innovation division of the OneUp Sports Network in an effort to provide even better mobile experiences to brands and users. This will include responsibilities for all the OneUp Sports partners and properties including MLB Connect, NFL Connect, NHL Connect, NBA Connect, Maple Leafs Mobile, Washington Redskins, among others.

McCauley formerly served as Senior Director, Marketing for Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. he has over 15 years of sports media expertise, managing media, content, digital and marketing programs across five different leagues such as the NHL, NBA, MLS, AHL and MLB. He will continue to be based in Toronto, helping OneUp Sports expand in that market, but will spend some time in the company’s Florida offices.

McCauley began his career at Major League Baseball, as its first online reporter for the Toronto Blue Jays. He also continues to serve as an advisor to Digital Media Zone at Ryerson University, connecting DMZ companies with partnerships that accelerate growth.
