OPG Names Lyash as New CEO
CBJ – Ontario Power Generation has named Jeffrey Lyash as its new president and chief executive, effective Aug. 21.
The 53-year-old Lyash (pictured) joins OPG from CB&I Power, a U.S. power engineering, procurement and construction firm.
OPG says Lyash will take the job as the company prepares for the refurbishment of its Darlington nuclear power station.
The plant in Clarington, Ont., east of Toronto, generates about 20% of the province’s power. As a whole, OPG produces more than half of the electricity that Ontario homes, schools, hospitals and businesses rely on each day.
