P&G Posts Strong Quarterly Earnings

CBJ — Procter & Gamble has reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $2.75 billion, surpassing the expectations of most financial analysts.

On a per-share basis, the Cincinnati-based company said it had profit of $1.04. Earnings, adjusted for restructuring costs, were $1.06 per share.

The world’s largest consumer products maker posted revenue of $16.46 billion in three months.

P&G shares have also increased 15% since the beginning of the year and more than 40% of the past year.
