Shopify Reports Q1 Loss — But Gains in Revenue
CBJ — Shopify Inc. lost just under $16 million in its latest quarter while at the same time seeing its revenue grow by 68% compared with one year ago.
The e-commerce software company says its loss amounted to 16 cents per share for the quarter ended March 31. That compares with a loss of $13.6 million or 15 cents per share a year ago.
Revenue in the quarter totalled $214.3 million, up from $127.4 million the previous year.
Subscription solutions revenue grew by more than 60% to just over $100 million. Merchant solutions revenue was up 75% to $114 million.
