Strong Job Creation in November
CBJ — Numbers released by Statistics Canada indicate the national economy added eight times more jobs than expected in November.
Nationwide there were about 80,000 jobs gained, while the jobless rate moved sown .4% to 5.9%, which is the lowest level in almost a decade.
Through the first 11 months of the year the economy has added 441,000 full-time jobs.
The strong employment numbers immediately caused a surge in the value of the dollar.
