February Issue of The Canadian Business Journal Now Online

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO – George Media Inc. is pleased to announce the February issue of The Canadian Business Journal is now available online at http://www.cbj.ca/EMAG/2013/Feb/CBJ.php.

This edition focuses on the progression of the public-private partnership business model in Canada and how it has impacted our national economy in an exclusive interview with CCPPP CEO Mark Romoff. Transportation and healthcare have always been at the forefront but now new sectors are also finding value. We also delve into the financing structure and why the world’s largest economy – the United States – has yet to fully embrace P3s. Additionally, there’s a massive P3 project now under way; the DRIC Bridge project that will span Windsor and Detroit.

The months are counting down before current Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney takes on the same position with The Bank of England. He faces numerous challenges if he’s to achieve the same level of success on the other side of the Atlantic as we explore.

Tina Kremmidas, chief economist with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, reviews a strong performance by the labour market in 2012. There’s also an interesting article on changes to Old Age Security that affects a good number of current workers, so you’ll want to see how it may or may not impact your retirement plans.

You’ll also want to read our regular monthly columns from the outspoken Roy Green and Alex Carrick. Melonie Dodaro provides excellent social media advice on how businesses are not taking full advantage of being online. There is all of that and much more in this edition of CBJ.
