CBJ — U.S. President Donald Trump has officially signed a proclamation exempting Canadian aluminum exports from punitive tariffs. However, there is a clause in the document that gives Trump the right to reverse the stance and reimpose the 10% duties, if it’s deemed an issue of national security.

Canada had planned to invoke retaliatory taxes on U.S. products before the U.S. government reversed its course.
