YOOMA WELLNESS INC. ISSUED CEASE TRADE ORDER FOR DELAY IN ANNUAL FILINGS
Toronto, Ontario, May 08, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Yooma Wellness Inc. (CSE: YOOM, AQSE: YOOM) (“Yooma” or the “Company“) today announced that it has been issued a cease trade order (“CTO”) by the Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) in connection with its failure to file its audited annual financial statements for the financial year ended December 31, 2022, together with the corresponding management discussion and analysis and CEO/CFO certifications, (collectively, the “Annual Filings”) by the deadline of May 1, 2023. The Company is continuing to work diligently and expeditiously with its auditors to be in a position to file its annual filings as soon as possible, however, based on recent consultations with the Company’s auditors concerning work required in certain foreign jurisdictions, the Company has revised its anticipated timeline for completion of the audit and now expects it will file the Annual Filings on or before July 15, 2023.
There can be no assurance at this time that the Company will be able to remedy its filing default and have the CTO lifted in a timely manner or at all.
